PHILIP SHERIDAN HAUK

Philip Sheridan Hauk, 81, a resident of Waynetown practically all his life died Tuesday morning at his home here. Death followed a heart attack. Born Nov 30, 1872, near Elmdale, Mr. Hauk was the son of Francis Marion and Hester Bible Hauk. He married Geneva Campbell of Waynetown in October 1900. Mr. Hauk was a masonry contractor most of his life. He also was a member of the bricklayers union more than 50 years. He also was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Before entering the masonry business, he taught school. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles O. Rader, Trumbull, Conn; and a sister, Mrs. Nora Schoffner, Los Angeles, Calif. He was preceded in death by his wife a son and daughter. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the family home in Waynetown with burial at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. The Rev. Guy E. Tremaine will be the officiating minister.
